you should not touch or distract it, because it is working!

Our first service dog team! Volodymyr and his dog Gera.
Having served in the Ukrainian Armed Forces for a year, Volodymyr is back in Kyiv now rehabilitating from his injuries. Before the war, Volodymyr worked as a psychologist in a centre for children with special needs, and Gera worked by his side as a therapy dog.
Our second service dog in-training: Peppi!
Here Peppi is pictured with Courageous Companions Master Trainer George and her trainer, Vika. Vika’s husband is a canine trainer and handler in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and she helps him with this work. Now she will be helping train dogs for soldiers who need them when they return home.

Meet Chief! Our youngest service dog in training!
This little guy will be raised and trained to be a service dog for a Ukrainian veteran.
Chief was named by one of the soldiers at the Central Military Hospital in Kyiv during one of our visits there.
